i think that happiness is a world thing.
it hides a lot of lost souls in places we do not normally look because of the lack of visual pain and suffering.</description>

You are writing an important series.  So much Scripture speaks of lament, not to mention some of Jesus last words on the cross.

So often recognizing the importance and place of lament has been a pastoral gap in churches.  Consequently, by our silence, many people have gotten the impression that if they are in pain, there is no place to go in the church.  As a result, some have concluded that if you really need to be honest, best do that elsewhere.</description>

		<description>This is so much more enriching to my soul than the &#039;feel-good&#039; blather that is being spewed from so many quarters. Frankly, I don&#039;t feel good about the situation of our nation - nor of our church. I can get angry, but that doesn&#039;t feel right either. In fact it feels futile. I truly believe you are onto something very real and profound - a clear and resounding word for the church in this hour.
