Ok.., so what does this mean practically? What more do we know about the doubters? They were part of the crew that "later" helped turned the World upside Down - no? Go upset the apple cart? What apple cart - I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the idea that all churches suck - cuz they don't. Have churches and christians screwed up along the way - you betchya - but throwing the baby out with the bathwater isn't the answer either.

I'm in praise of doubt and it is also a great book that I am reading now; but you don't have to be a person of doubt to affect change either - so...., I am in praise of balance. We must be careful that the pendulum doth not swing too far either way. I'm just sayin...

this is a great post. i think you struck a great tone.

i love Pete Rollins characterization of A/Theism - as a continuum.

a validation of doubts are vital to a present tense working through of our faith -

Wow. I LOVE this post! As a doubter, I feel energized and encouraged by both Scot's post and your post. Thank you.

I come from a super-conservative small town in Tennessee, where it's hard to find friends who do not condemn me for my questions. It means so much to me to know that there are people out there who see that doubt can be a compliment to faith.
